Poetry Residency at the Manchester Jewish Museum
As part of a poetry residency at Manchester Jewish Museum, Ophira will be presenting a specially commissioned new work I Seek A Wild Star, inspired by the objects and stories of the museum archive.
The project takes its title from the poetry of Jewish Manchester writer Louis Golding, whose impact on the city’s cultural history is often overlooked. Ophira’s poetry is in dialogue with Golding, inviting us to rediscover an important figure in our cultural past.
A reading of the work will take place on Thursday 22nd May 7pm.
